SAUDIA Travel Companion Terms & Conditions
These terms and conditions of use (the “Terms of Use”) apply to the SAUDIA travel companion artificial intelligence (“AI”) chatbot tool (herein “Travel Companion”) available for use on SAUDIA’s site located at www.saudia.com and associated SAUDIA sites around the world and available through the Saudia mobile application (collectively, the “Website”). By using Travel Companion, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use Travel Companion.
Saudia reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to amend, modify, add or remove any part of these Terms of Use at any time for any reason. You are responsible for checking these Terms of Use from time to time to understand the changes. Your use of Travel Companion after publication of any changes to these Terms of Use means you accept and agree to the amended Terms of Use.
Your use of Travel Companion is governed by the Microsoft Privacy Statement.
The following Saudia policies from its Website also govern and apply to your use of Travel Companion, and they are incorporated herein by this reference:

Each of these Saudia policies may be amended from time to time and are effective immediately upon publication on the Website. In the event of any conflict between these Terms of Use (including the Microsoft Privacy Statement) and the above listed SAUDIA policies, these Terms of Use (including the Microsoft Privacy Statement) shall control with respect to your access to and use of Travel Companion.
Permitted Uses. Subject to your agreement and compliance with these Terms of Use, you may access and use Travel Companion for your personal travel-related research and planning. That is, you may provide travel-related input into Travel Companion (“Input”), and receive output from Travel Companion based on your Input (“Output”). Input and Output may be referred to herein collectively as “Content”. In using Travel Companion, you must comply with all applicable laws and any other guidelines, polices, and terms and conditions that Saudia and its affiliates make available to you. Saudia and its affiliates reserve the right to use the Content to provide, maintain, develop, and improve Travel Companion, comply with applicable law, and enforce these Terms of Use
• Provide Input that contains or solicits Output related to a topic or subject matter that is illegal under applicable law;
• Copy images or text from the Output;
• Misappropriate, infringe, or otherwise violate the rights of others;
• Try to gain unauthorized access to or disrupt the Website or any service, device, data, account or network, including by intentionally evading or disrupting any restrictions or safety measures;
• Spam or distribute malware;
• Use Travel Companion in any way that could harm the online service of SAUDI, its affiliates, or licensors or impair anyone else’s use of it;
• Use Travel Companion in any way that could lead to the death or serious bodily injury of any person, or to severe physical or environmental damage;
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or discover Travel Companion’s source code or underlying components, models, algorithms, and systems;
• Automatically or programmatically provide Input or extract data or Output;
• To represent Output was human-generated when it was not; or
• To assist or encourage anyone to do any of the above.
3. AI Disclaimer
Travel Companion is a chatbot tool that uses AI to provide Output. Travel Companion is not a natural person or authorized representative of Saudia with independent judgment or logical decision making skills. AI is a developing field of technology that is constantly evolving. Due to the nature of AI, Travel Companion may from time to time provide Output that is not truthful, precise, or an accurate reflection of facts. You should not rely on the Output and you are responsible for evaluating the Output and confirming its accuracy.
YOU ACCEPT AND AGREE THAT ANY USE OF OUTPUTS FROM TRAVEL COMPANION IS AT YOUR SOLE RISK AND YOU WILL NOT RELY ON SUCH OUTPUT AS A SOURCE OF TRUTH OR FACTUAL INFORMATION.
4. 3rd Party Sites
Output may include one or more hyperlinks to other independent third-party websites (the “Linked Websites”). These Linked Websites are provided for your convenience and for further information. Linked Websites are not under Saudia's control, and Saudia and its affiliates are not responsible and do not endorse the content of such Linked Websites. You will need to make your own independent decisions and judgment regarding your navigation within and use of information provided on these Linked Websites.
5. Intellectual Property (“IP”) Rights
Saudia and its affiliates own all rights, title, and interest in and to Travel Companion and license certain IP rights from third parties related to its AI functionality. Nothing in these Terms of Use should be construed as transferring ownership of any IP rights to you. You are provided a non-exclusive, non-transferrable, revokable, limited license to use Travel Companion only for the permitted uses described above and subject to strict compliance with these Terms of Use.
6. Disclaimer of Warranties
TRAVEL COMPANION IS PROVIDED “AS IS”. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMISSIBLE UNDER APPLICABLE LAW, Saudia AND ITS AFFILIATES MAKE NO EXPRESS OR IMPLIED REPRESENTATIONS OR WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND RELATED TO THE OUTPUT AND INFORMATION CONTAINED IN OR PROVIDED BY TRAVEL COMPANION, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. Some jurisdictions to not allow the exclusion of certain warranties and, as a result, the above may not apply to you. These warranties are hereby disclaimed and excluded to the fullest extent permissible by applicable law. Without prejudice to the generality of the foregoing paragraph, SAUDIA does not represent or warrant that Travel Companion will be constantly available, or available at all, or that the information provided by Travel Companion is complete, true, accurate, up to date, or not misleading.
7. Limitation of Liability
IN NO EVENT SHALL Saudia, ITS AFFILIATES, ITS LICENSORS, OR THEIR RESPECTIVE PERSONNEL, AGENTS OR REPRESENTATIVES BE LIABLE TO YOU FOR ANY INDIRECT, CONSEQUENTIAL, SPECIAL, OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES (INCLUDING DAMAGES FOR LOSS OF PROFITS, GOODWILL, OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY) ARISING OUT OF OR IN ANY WAY CONNECTED TO YOUR USE OF TRAVEL COMPANION OR THE OUTPUT. Saudia AND ITS AFFILIATES AGGREGATE LIABILITY UNDER THESE TERMS OF USE SHALL NOT EXCEED FOUR HUNDRED SAUDI ARABIAN RIYALS.
8. Indemnity
If you are a business or professional organization, to the extent permitted by law, you will indemnify and hold harmless Saudia, its affiliates, and their personnel from and against any costs, losses, liabilities, and expenses, (including attorneys’ fees) from third party claims arising out of or relating to your use of Travel Companion (including any Content), and any violation of these Terms of Use.
9. Termination and Suspension
You are free to stop using Travel Companion at any time. Saudia reserves the right to suspend or terminate your access and use of Travel Companion at any time for any reason in Saudia's sole discretion.
10. Binding Arbitration
Any dispute arising under these Terms of Use shall be finally and exclusively settled by arbitration in the Saudi Center for Commercial Arbitration (“SCCA”) in accordance with the SCCA Rules of Arbitration then in effect. The venue of the arbitration shall be Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the proceedings of arbitration shall be conducted in English.
11. Governing Law
These Terms of Use are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia without regard to its conflict of laws principles.
12. Severability
If any part of these Terms of Use is found to be illegal or unenforceable, the rest will remain in full force and effect.
